Travel Maps

As I peruse other blogs, I enjoy seeing visual representations of where people have been or where they plan on going. Therefore, I thought I would play around with creating some of my own travel maps. It took me a while to explore some of the different platforms for making maps, but I settled on Google Maps as it was easy to use and easy to save the maps as images to upload into this blog.

Boating:

Over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to do a lot of boating in the Puget Sound area. My husband is an avid boater and our boat is a 43′ Fathom called Apricity. What does Apricity mean, you may ask. Well, it is Old English for the warmth of the sun in winter. In the Seattle area, we cherish every bit of sunshine we see during then winter months.

While this is not an exhaustive map, I did highlight a few of the place I have really enjoyed staying at:

Where am I going?

The following map highlights a few trips that I have planned over the next six months. I am really looking forward to the Palau trip we have planned for January as it will be several days of scuba diving and this will be my first time to Micronesia. Also, I am trying to attend a yoga retreat in Maya Tulum in January which will I am really excited about.

Thoughts?

I plan on continuing to add to this post as I would like to share maps of a road trip I took around the US and I also wanted to create a map of places I have gone scuba diving. Are there any types of travel maps anyone would be interested in seeing?

I am curious to hear from other bloggers abut how you make travel maps for your blogs. Please comment below!
